Infrastructure and Playgrounds Inspector
This is a key role within our prestigious Mornington Open Space contract, responsible for the day-to-day inspections of playgrounds and infrastructure to ensure that facilities and equipment are in good working condition and safe to use.
Duties:
* Develop safety management programmes to ensure playgrounds comply with safety regulations.
* Identify hazards in playgrounds and surrounding areas.
* Inspect equipment, surfacing and furniture, reporting all defects.
* Perform safety inspections of playground facilities and equipment.
* Conduct qualitative assessments to identify items and functions that fail to comply with standards, are hazardous etc.
* Alert the Client to any condition in the playground identified as an existing hazard or has the potential to become hazardous.
* Safely use a range of vehicles, machinery, equipment and tools required to maintain playground and general open space infrastructure such as pathways, park and reserve drains, park furniture, signage, barbecues, bollards, fencing, drink fountains, retaining walls, goal posts etc.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
* Trade certificate AQF Level 4 or equivalent.
* AHCPGD206 Conduct visual inspection of park facilities.
* AHCPGD305 Conduct operational inspection of park facilities.
* Experience using tools and machinery.
* Able to demonstrate initiative and problem solving.
* Team orientated as well as able to work autonomously.
* Police Check Clearance.
* Working with Children Check.
* Current valid Victorian Drivers Licence.
* First Aid Certificate.
* Traffic Management.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Good timekeeping skills.
