The Design Draftsperson is a key position within the Design and Engineering team, ‘delivering together’. You’ll be responsible for:
* Producing accurate information and documentation that meet all procedural and auditable requirements.
* Ensuring work deadlines are met and construction deliverables are not compromised or missed.
* Communicating effectively and efficiently through drawings, verbal, and written means to all necessary parties.
* Consistently exhibiting a proactive attitude towards innovation and improvement, actively seeking alternate methods of performing tasks.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Formal drafting qualifications or equivalent.
* Advanced user in drafting / modelling software e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, Ship Constructor.
* Skilled in 3D modelling.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Basic understanding of materials and their compatibility in a marine environment.
* Good understanding of data and document management principles.
* Experience in Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical / Pipe Modelling.
* Experience in Modelling / Drafting within the marine industry.
* Knowledge of regulatory body Rules and Regulations requirements is preferable.
Due to the Security Clearance required for this position, applicants must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain and uphold a Baseline Security Clearance through the Australian Department of Defence.
