The Emergency Relief (ER) program provides financial assistance and material aid to households experiencing financial hardship or short-term crisis. Assistance can be in the form of vouchers for food or fuel as well as payments towards household expenses.This position will provide administration support to the CatholicCare Victoria ER program, including answering client phone calls, data entry into Client Management System (Penelope), accounts payable support and distribution of ER material aid via email and post. The position works collaboratively with and supports ER volunteers as required.Responsibilities Working with the team to answer client phone calls to centralised 1800 phone number, daily, from 9.30am to 11.30am, and as required.Responding to client phone calls in a timely, professional, and culturally safe and appropriate manner.Providing ongoing support and guidance to Volunteers, on-site and remotely.Minimum Requirements If you have the below skills & experience - we would love to hear from you!Demonstrated experience in the community services sector and preferably with certificate level qualifications in administration, social welfare or related field.Previous experience in customer relations, data entry or administration positions.Experience using a Client Management System and Microsoft packages.Demonstrated understanding of initial needs identification and assessment when responding to service requests.About CatholicCare Victoria CatholicCare Victoria (CCV) is a leading and influential provider of charitable and social services in Victoria.
