ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Events Executive is responsible for the successful delivery of a number of AFL and AFLW's major events consisting of awards nights, corporate hospitality, public events and match day events.
The AFL major events calendar includes events such as Toyota AFL Premiership Season Launch, Anzac Day, Dreamtime at the 'G, Australian Football Hall of Fame, AFL Awards, Charles Brownlow Medal, Toyota AFL Grand Final Parade and Live Site, Footy Festival, Toyota AFL Grand Final events and AFL Draft.
The AFLW major events calendar includes such events as the AFLW Season Launch, AFLW Awards, AFLW Grand Final Eve Lunch, NAB AFLW Grand Final events and AFL Draft.
The Senior Events Executive will be given a portfolio of events across both the Men's and Women's competitions as well as various other events throughout the year.
This portfolio will change and evolve every two years.
They will contribute to the development of the creative aspects of the Major Events Program.
The Senior Events Executive is responsible for the leadership of an Events Coordinator who manages various events of their own as well as assisting both the Senior Events Executives and Events Executives in the administration of their major events.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF
AFL Events – Event Management:
Run sheet and production schedule creation and management Critical Path/Milestone planning Production of MC Notes Identify and book venue and catering Corporate partner liaison and implementation Schedule and manage all event staff including Event Hosts and Stage Managers Communicate and liaise with internal stakeholders Oversee the design and printing of all collateral Oversee content to be used as marketing collateral for public events Creation of full event budget which complies with allocated amount, and management of budget Produce event debrief report demonstrating the successes, areas for improvement and guest feedback Guestlist management oversight Day to day management and support of Event Coordinator Overseeing workload and event execution Providing guidance and assistance when required Conducting feedback loops in line with Events Executive's KPIs Key Accountabilities:
Manage event budgets and ensure effective resource allocation.
Create event and organisation efficiencies with systems, processes and procedures.
Ensure that customer needs, requirements and experience is considered and achieved throughout all stages of the event from planning stages to wrap up.
Deliver key internal departments and external stakeholders' objectives with a clear understanding of their requirements.
Plan and deliver all events at exceptional level and improve on previous years' feedback.
Demonstrate the AFL Values in day-to-day work.
