Job Description
About the role
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supporting the store manager in the day-to-day operations of the retail store, providing guidance and coaching to the store team, and interacting with customers to provide excellent customer service.
1. Provide ongoing coaching and development to ensure the capability and retention of team members.
2. Monitor the achievement of targets, regularly review individual performance, and identify and fill knowledge and skill gaps.
3. Recruit (where required), build and maintain a strong team culture that aligns with BBQ Galore's vision, mission, and culture.
4. Maintain and apply a working knowledge of all store and staff policies and procedures and ensure all team members comply with WHS standards.
5. Execute Barbeques Galore’s sales process to maximise transaction value and profit to meet sales targets and KPIs.
Skills & experience
1. Previous experience in a retail management environment.
2. Ability to take initiative and operate with a high degree of autonomy.
3. Highly driven, self-motivated approach.
4. Strong selling and communication skills.
5. High attention to detail and well-organised.
6. Passion for delivering great customer service and producing great store results.
