Please quote job reference: 1253689 About our Client, your new employer: Our client is a multi-purpose health service in Weipa, QLD with a focus for patient care, offering a range of services including but not limited to emergency, general ward, medical imaging, residential aged care, and allied health services. The facility operates 24 hours per day 7 days a week and are one of the main providers of health services in the region. A little about the role: We are seeking a Podiatrist with a minimum of 5 years’ post-graduate experience for a community locum role in Weipa, QLD. You will work with the community performing general foot & nail care and high-risk foot care. You will have significant experience in high-risk foot care; clients with chronic disease, those diagnosed with amputations, foot ulcerations, peripheral neuropathy, peripheral vascular disease, gross foot deformities and biomechanical presentations. You will have a background in rural, remote practice with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island health experience. You will collaborate with the wider podiatry team. To work in this location, you will be required to provide specific documentation as requested by the client. Our team will run through this with you. Duties you will be responsible for:
1. Provide assessment and treatment to caseload.
2. Provide high quality patient care.
3. Work independently as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
4. Communicate and collaborate effectively with team and patients.
Skills and Experience:
5. Full AHPRA registration.
6. Relevant tertiary qualification.
7. Minimum 5 years’ post-graduate experience.
8. Significant high-risk foot care experience.
9. Background in rural, remote practice with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health experience advantageous.
10. Appropriate rights to work in Australia.
