ResponsibilitiesYou will oversee a small staff that handles new accounts, customer billing, payment processing, and debt collection.You will set customer service schedules, coordinating with other departments and outside agencies as necessary.Analyze data and prepare statistical reports about customer service, collections, billing, delinquencies, etc. in the Customer Service Department.Communicate effectively with rate payers, explaining schedules, rates, and fees.Assist accounting with independent audits, present reports about customer service and billing to management as needed.Responsible for the organization's public relations activities.RequirementsBachelor's degree in business, public relations, or public administration is required.5 years of experience in billing, cash accounting, and customer service is required.At least two years of supervisory experience at a government entity, municipality, or utility is required.The client prefers to consider people who have some kind of public utility background because billing and customer service are strictly regulated in this environment.Seniority level: Mid-Senior level
