Spare Parts Administrator
The Company :
My client is a leading supplier of freight handling equipment throughout Australia and New Zealand and represent several global equipment manufacturers that operate in the airport, rail and port industries.
They have been operating successfully for more then two decades and now, due to sustained growth, they are looking for a full time Spare Parts Administrator at their Westmeadows location.
Responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to:
1. Effectively interpret the customer's needs through careful application of product knowledge.
2. Take spare parts inquiries from customers, provide quotations, and coordinate spare parts sales.
3. Order processing, including picking & packing and related administrative duties.
4. Sourcing and purchasing products locally and internationally.
5. Assisting customers to ensure their parts requirements are accurately identified, delivered, invoiced and processed.
6. Management of stock levels, including analysis and planning to ensure stock holdings meet agreed requirements.
7. Dispatch and receipt for all incoming and outgoing orders.
8. Maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers and suppliers.
To be considered for this role you will possess the following:
9. Strong mechanical aptitude
10. A trade certificate - highly regarded but not essential
11. Experience in the parts industry working with technical machinery
12. Strong communication skills - Essential, as is a commitment to customer satisfaction
13. Strong capability with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
14. Have the ability to read technical drawings
15. Be very well organised & self-disciplined
16. Experience with warehouse management and stock planning
17. Experience with domestic and international shipping and logistics
18. A strong willingness to learn and a hands-on approach to accomplishing tasks
19. Full motor vehicle driver's license
20. Forklift operator's license – advantageous
Hours and Rate:
Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.00pm, occasional Saturday
An attractive base salary of $65K to $75K depending on experience, knowledge and abilities + bonuses and daily lunch provided!
