Are you a Clinical Nurse with an interest and/or experience in the assessment and care of people with Eating Disorders?The South Metropolitan Health Service of Western Australia has opened Kara Maar, a new purpose-built Multidisciplinary Specialist Community Eating Disorder Service for individuals aged 16+ with an eating disorder.We are seeking a Clinical Nurse to join the Kara Maar team for a permanent role. Supported by two Clinical Nurse Specialists you will work within a Multidisciplinary team which includes Psychiatry, clinical psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics and Lived Experience Peer Workers.As part of this team, you will provide clinical and professional expertise to ensure comprehensive evidence-based nursing care is delivered to consumers whilst facilitating and promoting safety and quality of care. You will practice within scope of practice considerate of the Nursing and Midwifery Board’s Nursing Practice Decision Flowchart.The Kara Maar treatment model is person-centred and inclusive of family and supports, offering an individualised and recovery focused treatment approach. Consumers have access to both individual and group components. The service model is designed to support integrated care with local primary, secondary and tertiary services, to provide coordinated wrap-around support and seamless transitions between levels of care. You will have access to specialist training and supervision.Kara Maar is situated in Cockburn with a satellite clinic in Mandurah. Cockburn is easily accessible by public transport and there is ample free parking.
