We are seeking a Project Officer – Lungs in Action to join our team based in our Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne Office.
About the role
The Project Officer – Lungs in Action will strengthen engagement with stakeholders and grow our Lungs in Action program. This vital role will contribute to improving access to evidence-based exercise maintenance programs, supporting individuals with chronic lung conditions to achieve better health and social outcomes.
Reporting to the General Manager, this role offers an exciting opportunity to develop strategic partnerships, enhance workforce capability, and position Lungs in Action as a key component of the rehabilitation pathway in Australia.
Key Responsibilities
Build partnerships with exercise professionals and agencies to expand awareness and access to Lungs in Action.
Develop and implement annual activity plans aligned with program priorities, budget, and risk management frameworks.
Oversee program governance, including engaging an advisory committee and facilitating continuous quality improvement activities.
Promote and support the Lungs in Action workforce by delivering education and training initiatives.
Drive program sustainability by identifying funding opportunities and contributing to strategic growth plans.
Facilitate program evaluation through data collection, analysis, and outcome reporting to enhance the evidence base of community models of exercise rehabilitation.
Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to implement promotional strategies.
About you
We are looking for an experienced professional with a background in public health, community engagement, or exercise rehabilitation.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and budgets.
Confidence in stakeholder engagement and relationship-building.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and CRM systems like Salesforce.
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Proven experience in implementing public health or community programs is essential. Not-for-profit sector experience is advantageous.
Formal qualifications in allied health, exercise, or a related field in community engagement/development is essential.
