Reporting to the Finance & Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the regional finances assisting with the financial management of the business in accordance with company policies, legislative requirements and within budgetary constraints.You will have an opportunity to engage with key stakeholders across the business and proactively identify opportunities to improve and streamline current systems and processes. Your day-to-day will also include:Assisting the project teams with end of month job status reporting, cost actuals, forecasting and other adjustment journals;Assist cost code owners with the review of transaction reports and prepare journal entries and accruals as required;Overseeing stock controls and management of the various production facilities in the NSW business;Management of the Bill Of Materials pricing to provide to sales and operations, ensuring finished goods are appropriately priced;Preparation and leading the regional environmental month end close;Business partnering with operations to ensure that production facilities are enhancing profitability;Assist the Regional Finance team in preparing month end management reports;Assist with general ad hoc reporting and analysis.To be successful in this role, you will hold tertiary qualifications in Bachelor of Accounting (and/or equivalent studies) and be a member or be working towards becoming a member of either the Institute of Chartered Accountants or Certified Practising Accountants. You will have 3 to 5 years' experience working as an Accountant in a civil construction/infrastructure or engineering company, ideally.
