About the role:
The Operations Delivery Manager is a senior leadership position within the Regional Maintenance Provider - North-East (RMP-NE). You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, preparation and delivery of the maintenance, supply, warehousing, engineering, operational, planning and data management services. You will be tasked with leading the managers of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), maintenance management, planning, and engineering, who will all report directly to you.
Please note: this role is based in Cairns and will be a 2-year maximum term contract, with potential to go permanent. Relocation assistance will be available to the successful applicant subject to terms and conditions.
What will you be involved in:
1. You will be the key liaison to the Commonwealth so as to ensure upcoming maintenance requirements are understood during supply and maintenance periods
2. Ensuring the team has scheduled and planned appropriately
3. Overseeing technical regulation of maintenance support
4. Ensuring completion of maintenance work task orders
5. Conducting efficiency analysis and implementation reporting
6. Complying with the Object Quality Evidence (OQE) requirements for relevant production periods
7. Management of members required in uniform
8. Ensuring the maintenance of the Technical Data and Software Rights Schedule
What we would like from you:
9. Minimum 8 years of experience within Defence and in a similar role
10. Experience as a Maintenance Support Manager in an Australian Defence environment with a proven track record is highly desirable. Experience in Maritime Maintenance is preferred.
11. Australian Citizen with an active Baseline AGSVA Security Clearance
12. Diploma level or higher in Project Management, Maintenance Management or Engineering
13. Experience with MS Project and Jira are highly desirable
14. Experience in complex maintenance systems as well as financial and statutory compliance
