Job Description and Requirements Management Accountant Key Role in Finance Department Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide monthly and quarterly management reports, offering insights into financial performance, cost analysis, and variance reporting.
2. Manage the treatment of grants received each quarter in accordance with AASB 15 standards.
3. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
4. Prepare, review, and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS), ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
5. Oversee and manage payroll, ensuring accuracy in salary payments, deductions, superannuation, and compliance with relevant legislation.
6. Oversee the correct application of lease treatment in line with AASB 16 standards.
7. Manage MYOB system functionality, conduct reviews, and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
8. Conduct monthly balance sheet account reviews and reconciliations.
9. Manage NDIS Portal payment requests, non-labour costs, and transport claims.
10. Oversee NDIS RCTI and remittance advice downloads. Required Skills and Qualifications Strong skills are required in:
1. AASB 15 and AASB 16 standards.
2. MYOB accounting system, including financial data review, payroll, and reconciliations.
3. Taxation (FB, BAS, PAYG, GST) and superannuation management.
4. Maintaining accurate financial records and attention to detail.
5. Communication skills, with ability to manage queries and liaise with staff at all levels.
6. Contributing to system reviews and process improvements.
7. Microsoft Excel and other accounting software/tools.
