Job Description The Opportunity We are currently looking for a Procurement Contracts Officer with an excellent work ethic to join our Procurement Contracts Team to assist with contract and procurement activities for various goods and services within the business. Reporting to the Procurement Contracts and Sourcing Lead, the Procurement Contracts Officer will assist the team by preparing contracts, assisting with RFx processes, supplier information management, due diligence activities, and implementing procurement practices across the business. About the role As the Procurement Contracts Officer you will be responsible for: Drafting new contracts, extensions and variations in accordance with internal stakeholder requirements. Carrying out RFx related tasks including the development of RFx documentation, drafting and finalisation of contracts in conjunction with the relevant manager(s). Assisting the Procurement Contracts Team with preparing and reviewing scopes of work. Effective procurement administration including management of risk and ongoing supplier performance, by administering supplier information utilising Arc’s Contract Management System (CMS). Ensuring new suppliers are accurately and completely entered into Arc’s CMS. Ensuring information changes for existing suppliers are accurately entered into the CMS with a high level of attention to detail in a timely manner. Undertaking checks for ongoing supplier compliance (contracts, insurances etc.) and maintains all associated records within the CMS. Undertaking prequalification of suppliers. Undertaking due diligence (Anti-Bribery and Corruption and Modern Slavery) on suppliers in accordance with Arc’s due diligence procedure. Supporting the development and improvement of procurement policies and procedures. Seeking ways to improve efficiencies and ensure compliance of purchasing and procurement processes. Responsible for document management and retention utilising the Arc’s document management system for the Procurement Contracts Team. About You! To excel in this role you should have: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and to establish positive and effective working relationships with people at all levels; Excellent time management given the high volume of requests and competing demands from multiple stakeholders, and many requests for work will be for required within a very tight timeframe; Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills; Sound understanding of Australian contract law principles; Ability to interpret contract clauses; Ability to identify ways to improve systems or processes which are used by the team and work collaboratively with other teams to resolve issues; Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a motivated and enthusiastic attitude to problem solving; A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning; An interest in using data analysis to support the business in making informed decisions; Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and seek guidance intelligently; Previous exposure to contracts in a procurement, contracting or legal environment; and Degree or qualifications in law, commerce or procurement preferable but not essential.
