Wood is seeking expressions of interest from Quality Measuring Instrument Technicians with proven Oil & Gas Maintenance experience to join our team., at the Ampol Refinery. For 10+ years, Wood has held a Maintenance contract at Lytton, and have been heavily imbedded into the Ampol culture with a strong focus on team alignment across the contracting teams.
This role will play a pivotal part in the continued support of our maintenance contract at Ampol, as well as being a part of a supportive and innovative team.

As Woods next QMI Technician, the below skills are required:
1. Must be Electrical Trade Qualified with proven maintenance experience in heavy industry environment,
2. Demonstrated the principles, practices and execution of Instrument and Electrical Equipment maintenance.
3. Demonstrate fault finding and troubleshooting on Instrument and Electrical Equipment
4. Working experience on the following QMI Analytical equipment. TCD, FID, FPD Gas Chromatographs, Continuous Gas Analysers, TDLS, Moisture Analysers, Sample Conditioning Systems.
5. Show initiative and contribute ideas and constructive advice to solve operational and maintenance problems or increase efficiency or unit reliability.
6. Highlight issues and solutions to responsible Supervisors /Engineers
7. Able to work autonomously & multi-task
8. Skilled in the maintenance of the following equipment
9. ICSS/DCS Systems
10. Analysers and related sample system
11. QMI Systems
12. Turbine Control Systems
13. PLC’s
14. Control and SD Valves
15. Vibration Monitoring systems
16. General Instrumentation.
Qualifications
17. Trade certificate and QLD Electrical trade licence is essential (Electrical Mechanic, Electrical Fitter/Mechanic, Instrumentation)
18. Dual trade qualification in electrical/instrumentation is required, with a Cert III in Instrument and Control
19. Cert IV in Hazardous Areas (EEHA) required
20. Prior Vendor Gas Chromatograph Training (ABB, Yokogwawa, Rosemount).
21. Working knowledge of SAP - required
22. LVR/CPR required
23. High voltage switching operations (desirable)
24. Working at Heights and High-risk EWP licence (desirable).
