Responsible for submitting all records pertaining to the teaching unit to the administration staff (and/or updating to the student management system) accurately and promptly Student Management Assist in timely and effective induction of all new students through academic advice and orientationParticipate in the provision of support and assistance to students for all learning and assessment related mattersPrepare student study plans, counsel students at-risk and maintain relevant student recordsProvide pastoral care and support to students especially students at-risk and other assistance as requested by the Executive Dean and/or DelegatesAct as a mentor for students in the capacity of personal tutor, giving first line support. Refer students to alternative sources and services for providing further help as appropriate.Manage and monitor students at risk of unsatisfactory course progress and implement intervention strategies Staff Management Manage the overall workflow within unit(s) and course(s) so that teaching and assessment occurs in an efficient and effective manner Provide clear and timely direction, advice and appropriate professional and scholarly development for any staff reporting to this position Ensure all individual student assessment results in a timely mannerOther staff management tasks, consistent with undertaking the role of Lecturer, as requested by the Executive Dean and/or Delegates Governance and Leadership Participate in committees with regards to curriculum development and enhancement, unit/course delivery, student/course performance results and benchmarking activities Participate in meetings and activities as required or directed by CEO/Executive Dean and/or Delegates Ensure informative reports are presented to respective committees in a timely fashion Scholarly and Industry Engagement Maintain an effective engagement with relevant professional bodies and with industry partners.Maintain an appropriate level of scholarly engagement.
