Field Superintendent - Darwin NT
The Field Superintendent provides the knowledge, skills and experience required to manage the day-to- day field operations of commercial construction projects. Field Superintendents are responsible for the production aspects of the work, and are accountable for producing quality work that is constructed consistent with the standards set forth in the project's contract documents, and for performing the work timely and cost effective manner, and for maintaining a work environment that is safe and continuously kept clean and orderly. Moreover, Field Superintendents are the forward face of and are responsible for establishing a professional work environment that includes fostering a positive atmosphere, promoting proactive and effective communication, facilitating problem solving and for minimizing and resolving conflict in a constructive manner. The primary focus of a Field Superintendent is to provide the managerial and leadership skills necessary to accomplish the work by means of supervising subcontractors and managing the day-to-day issues of a self-performing workforce.

* Negotiating with stakeholders throughout the construction process and project lifecycle
* Leading the coordination and prioritisation of resources across projects
* Coordinating resources, procurement and delivery of materials, plant and equipment
Job qualifications
* Minimum 20 years' experience in the construction industry with a commercial and/or institutional
* contractor engaged in general building and construction -
* Experience with bulk fuel farms And advanced understanding of construction means and methods associated with the construction of commercial facilities in the oil and gas industry
* Advanced knowledge of civil, architectural, mechanical and electrical work
* The ability to effectively communicate both in the English written and spoken word
* Ability to manage multiple teams and projects
* Proficiency with spreadsheets, Email and other software used in the construction industry
* 20 years of experience in construction safety, with a proven track record of effective safety leadership across a construction site
* Ability to undertake FIFO/DIDO shifts
* Able to work in Australia without sponsorship
