Coming together for the future of energySecondary Systems Field Support EngineerEnergy Queensland and our operational brands - Energex, Ergon Energy Network, Ergon Energy Retail and Yurika are growing rapidly and as part of the (QEJP) Queensland Energy and Jobs Plan, actively helping to advance the energy transition towards net zero.Our Operations Division have a permanent opportunity for a Secondary Systems Field Support Engineer to be located at any major regional location including Cairns, Mackay, Townsville, Toowoomba, Rockhampton or Maryborough and are inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates.About your new role:As a Secondary Systems Field Support Engineer, you will be providing technical and engineering advice to our field crews and internal customers on defects, failures, maintenance, and project issues, specialising in substation secondary systems, under supervision of an RPEQ Engineer. You will demonstrate your leadership ability and promote a positive culture working as part of a team. Critical to your success in the role is your:Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.‘C’ Class licence.Experience with Protection relays will be highly regarded.Demonstrated knowledge of substation and transmission mains asset construction, maintenance practices and condition assessment techniques, with a focus on secondary systems is desirable.Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) – Area of Electrical is desirable.What matters most to us is our values, We’re Safe – We Belong - We Grow - We Deliver.
