This is an exciting and active role for a well-rounded and organised creative keen to collaborate to deliver Multicap Queensland’s end-of-year production in June 2025. Multicap provides services and creative programs to people living with complex needs across Queensland. The Centre of Creative Arts (COCA) is Multicap’s creative education program offering 8 modules of study across the Visual and Performing Arts. The main stage production InSTAR is a performance-based piece with critical film/video elements. The premise is 7:30 Report meets Australian Idol. The work blends live performance with video and has been created by and with COCA Artists from across Queensland. What we can offer you: Great work-life-balance Join a collaborative and supportive team who will provide mentoring and supervision Relevant and sufficient training Unpaid placement part-time, alternating Mon/Thur/Fri (8.30am – 2.30pm) About your role: You will work directly with COCA Program Lead, COCA Facilitators and COCA Artists to support and work directly with Artists experiencing diverse challenges. Provide support with video production planning (run sheets, shot lists, film, lead editing) Video filming (sequencing short interviews/advertisements that intersperse live action – knowledge of QLAB or similar would be cool) Assist running rehearsals and bump in/bump out (showing) Some travel may be required (travel with COCA Program Lead) About you Currently studying Creative Industries: Film/TV, Drama, Journalism Administration skills Time management Honest communication Reliability Be able to connect professionally and socially with people having diverse abilities Own phone and laptop/device preferred Technical production skills a bonus (lighting or sound or both) Commit to a standard of excellence with humility and appreciation for the artists we serve Benefits Plenty of supervision and mentoring Join a supportive and fun team Free on-site parking Opportunity to apply for roles on completion of placement Career opportunities You will have the following to qualify for this role Hold a current Blue Card (Working with Children) A NDIS Worker Screening Check (Working with Individuals with Disabilities) Aged 18 years and over Who we are?
