You could be one of our 2700 committed team members who are up to the challenge.About the roleThe EPMO Specialist - Business & Technology uses expertise in business transformation and ICT/digital delivery to ensure V/Line's Business & Technology (B&T) projects deliver the intended value. This is achieved through the review of key project artefacts, provision of advice and support in resolving complex issues, effective stakeholder engagement and project assurance activities.Additional accountabilities include:Manage project governance and conduct assurance activities, including stage gates, health checks, and lessons learned workshops.Partner with senior leaders to drive consistent project management practices while building strong relationships with delivery teams and fostering collaboration across the organisation.Ensure consistent application of the EPMF and B&T Delivery Methodology by providing assurance, advice, training, and support to project leaders and teams.Improve the quality of Concept Briefs and Business Cases, ensuring projects are well-scoped, planned, and involve the right stakeholders.Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track using expert judgement and transformation expertise.Oversee project governance, ensuring decisions are well-coordinated, communicated, and aligned with V/Line standards.Drive capability building through training initiatives, knowledge sharing, and service improvements, with a focus on stakeholder needs and industry trends.About youYou are an EPMO/PMO Specialist with strong interpersonal skills, able to influence stakeholders, build relationships, foster collaboration, and drive results. Your success lies in integrity, a results-focused approach, and a passion for developing others in project management.Our ideal candidate will possess the following:Proven project management and EPMO/PMO experience, with the ability to coach and develop others in these areas.Expertise in business and digital/IT transformation projects, and understanding of relevant technical domains including business analysis, change management, and data governance.Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing senior leaders and engaging teams effectively.Excellent communication and reporting skills, with a focus on presenting information clearly to support decision-making.Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a strong understanding of project dependencies and impacts.Relevant project management certifications (e.g., P3O, PRINCE2, PMP) and tertiary education in IT, business, or related fields.Demonstrated alignment with V/Line's values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership and human rights.In addition to free myki travel, we offer:Community impact - Make a genuine difference.
