The Opportunity: Fantastic ongoing long-term opportunity for an experienced Work Health and Safety Advisor to join our ever-growing team based in Melbourne's Northern suburbs.
you will support the ongoing development and implementation of the WHS Management System.
As a Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Advisor, you will play a key role in the People & Culture team.
Your responsibilities will involve ensuring compliance, promoting a positive WHS culture, developing improvements and countermeasures, coach others to improve overall safety and support workers compensation claims and return to work plans.
Key Accountabilities: Some of the main duties this role entails.
• Improve and managing of WHS systems.
• Support and continue to build safety culture and awareness within the business.
• Conducting internal audits • Analyse and recommend improvements to WHS strategies, process and procedures.
• Manage accident / incident investigations, workers compensation claims and return to work plans.
• Develop and communicated incident alerts/learnings/corrective actions.
• Lead, support and train risk reviews and manage actions.
• Deliver training, awareness and instruction.
The ideal candidate will have: • Australian working rights.
• Qualifications in occupational health and safety, or other relevant disciplines • Ability to influence and drive change through relevant initiatives and programs.
• 4-7 years or more experience in a similar role (preferably within the Manufacturing, Logistics, or Construction industries).
• Experience in the application of risk management, hazard identification, incident investigation • Intermediate to High Level Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and database systems; • Sound knowledge of relevant WHS legislation, Codes of Practice and AS/NZ Standards.
• An ability to adapt to a changing environment.
