Kempe Engineering is currently seeking to employ a full-time Mechanical Engineering Technician to work in the Mining, Energy and Manufacturing sectors in the Gladstone region of Queensland. As part of this role you will be expected to work in our workshop and on client sites undertaking maintenance and sustainable capital works on fixed plant. SKILLS • Partner with the Fluid Power and Mechanical Services Product Managers, Engineers and Specialists to develop engineering solutions for our clients in the disciplines of fluid power circuits, lubrication filtration systems, mechanical plant and equipment. Lead a team to assemble and install the engineering solutions for our clients.Lead the team to work safely, efficiently using appropriate processes, tools and equipment.Scope tasks, estimate job costs, schedule and execute the task to the required safety, quality, engineering standards as defined by contractual arrangements and Kempe Engineering accredited systems. This will require an ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications. Ensure all required quality data is measured, recorded and analysedImplement preventive and preventative maintenance programs within the client’s plant.Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to distinguish suitable materials, method and machine settings to complete works effectivelyErect, overhaul and repair mechanical and fluid power equipment QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE • Recognized qualification in Mechanical Engineering Technician Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on sites such as power generation, mining or pulp and paper, preferably in precision fixed plant maintenance.Exposure to lubrication filtration systems (particularly turbine) would be well regarded.Meet ZERO Harm culture and behaviours All suitably qualified and experienced candidates will be considered.
