About the role
We are currently seeking a Quality Engineer for the Eastern Freeway Burke to Tram Alliance in Melbourne. This role offers great career prospects with a privately-owned tier 1 constructor and international engineering enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist engineering team with preparing Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), inspection checklists and work packs to ensure quality requirements are captured.
2. Verify that subcontractor/supplier documents conform to project specification/standard requirements.
3. Actively monitor the project Corrective Actions and Non-conformance Registers to ensure timely close out and measure the effectiveness to preventive actions.
4. Maintain up-to-date register of calibration certificates and ensure inspection, measuring and test equipment is within calibration or removed from use.
5. Provide data as required to the Project Quality Lead for the monthly Quality Reports by the due date.
6. Observe safe systems of work relevant to your work area and report potential hazards or near misses.
About you
7. Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Discipline (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical) or Construction Management with Chartered Professional Engineer status or equivalent
8. Minimum of 5 years’ of related technical experience within a project delivery environment.
9. Technical knowledge to interpret drawings, specifications and quality records
10. Previous experience with Project Document Management Systems
