What we need
We currently have a Casual opportunities for a highly motivated Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant to join our friendly team!
What will you do?
Your role will be to support our Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator in providing an engaging person-centred leisure and lifestyle program.
More specifically, your key duties will include:
* participate and assist in the development of various activities that take into consideration the residents social needs and care plan
* encourage and motivate residents and family to participate in the activities program
* regularly evaluate activities and individual care plans in relation to the residents’ social needs.
What you bring to the role
* Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or equivalent) or the desire to complete qualification
* Residential aged care and/or experience working with clients with dementia is preferred.
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
* A can-do attitude with the ability to learn and grow on the job
* A friendly outgoing personality
* A desire to work in the not-for-profit sector in a rewarding environment
