Production Supervisor Job Opportunity in Shepparton
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Supervisor to lead our team at our Shepparton Depot. As a key member of our production management team, you will be responsible for overseeing production operations, championing safety, and driving continuous improvement.
Main Responsibilities
* Health, Safety & Environment:
o Embed a Zero Harm culture and adhere to safety policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
o Conduct thorough investigations into risks/incidents and implement corrective actions.
o Maintain high standards of housekeeping and environmental compliance.
* Production Management:
o Lead the team in achieving optimal workflow and production efficiencies.
o Implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), 5S methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
o Monitor and report operational KPIs, implementing corrective actions as needed.
* People Leadership:
o Develop, coach, and lead a flexible, engaged, and skilled manufacturing team.
o Conduct weekly team briefings and maintain open, transparent communication.
o Identify and address training needs to ensure team competency.
* Quality Assurance:
o Ensure all production activities align with the company's quality system and objectives.
o Investigate quality issues, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions.
* Continuous Improvement:
o Drive lean manufacturing principles and statistical process controls.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
* Experience in production management within a manufacturing environment.
* Tertiary qualifications in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline (desired but not essential).
* Knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental management systems.
* Strong problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
* Proficiency in manufacturing systems and software (e.g., Kiwi Plan, SAP).
* Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building capabilities.
