Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Technical Director - Water / Wastewater Infrastructure to join our South Queensland team. This role would ideally be Brisbane-based, but Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast locations would also be considered. You will play a pivotal role leading the successful technical delivery of projects for our clients, supported by our team of passionate engineers, planners, designers, technical specialists, and management. You’ll be able to draw on our global specialist network and decades of experience to create positive water outcomes that respect nature and nurture communities.
Working with a flexible, welcoming and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
1. Leading high-performance teams in the process planning and design for water and wastewater treatment infrastructure.
2. The delivery of projects and technical leadership.
3. Coaching and mentoring our people.
4. Offering innovative solutions to our internal, existing and new clients across the utilities, local government and private sectors.
5. Supporting national scale projects by providing technical leadership and peer review.
6. Advancing GHDs presence in the wider market through agreed National initiatives.
What you will bring to the team:
7. Engineering Degree and have attained CPEng / Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) status.
8. Experience on large scale multi-disciplinary projects.
9. Experience on the mechanical / civil design and, hydraulic and transient assessment for pump stations, rising mains and conveyance pipework.
10. Skilled in mechanical asset condition assessments and operational optimisation of existing assets.
11. Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
