About us A single practitioner Specialist Gastroenterology practice is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our small but close knit team. The role is largely a 'work from home' position. You will be an integral part of a Brisbane based practice with regional QLD presence. Our aim is to deliver personalised, high quality medical care to both urban and regional patients. The practice aims to grow with the right team and structure. You will be working closely with the Specialist and Practice Manager. This role will be a mixture of reception and administrative tasks. Good time management and multitasking skills are essential, together with bubbly personality and ability to adapt and learn. Qualifications & experience Prior specialist medical receptionist experience or medical administration role would be an advantageWould be suitable for the right novice, with an interest in learning about medical administrationMust be proficient in IT skillsPrior experience with medical software such as Clinic to Cloud, Genie, Gen 2, Healthscope etc desirableExcellent communication skills in written and spoken EnglishProfessional and courteous telephone manner and written communicationMust be a patient person, with compassion and the desire to go the extra mile for our patientsImpeccable personal presentation Tasks & responsibilities Managing the patient appointment calendar using medical software scheduling and confirming patient appointmentsAnswering emails and patient related queries and be able to relay information back to the practitionerManaging patients during on site clinic day (One Monday per fortnight) including check-in, payment and booking of further appointments and investigationsPreparing theatre lists, liaising with hospital staff and allied health professionalsBanking and billing of patient accountsMay be required to participate in marketing of the business/services, largely by organising GP and other specialty visits or educational eventsTo work closely and report to the practice managerFull time position - approximately 36 hours/week, with flexible working arrangement Benefits Largely working from home, required to do on site clinics once a week or fortnight.Work computer and mobile phone will be providedSmall team, direct and without complex organisational hierarchy2 weeks off guaranteed leave during Christmas and New year period
