We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plumber to join our dynamic team at Mackay Regional Council.About this opportunity:As a Plumber with Mackay Regional Council, your primary objective will be to carry out plumbing duties associated with water or sewerage assets, construction projects, or maintenance activities. You will provide support and assistance to the Leading Hand Water under the supervision of the Supervisor Construction.Key Responsibilities:Undertaking construction and maintenance works related to water and sewerage assets.Applying high-precision trade skills using various materials and specialized techniques.Performing work under limited supervision, either individually or in a team environment.Providing exceptional client services to internal and external stakeholders.Reading and interpreting plans, accurately recording "as constructed" information.Implementing quality requirements and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.Actively participating in health and safety training and practical job-related education.Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:Current Licensed Plumber and Drainer as required by legislation.Current QLD "C" Class Driver's Licence.Current Construction White card.Plumbing and drain laying experience in construction and maintenance of water and sewerage reticulation systems with minimum five years post trade experience.Backflow prevention qualifications and experience will be highly regarded.Why work for Mackay Regional Council?Mackay Regional Council offers a dynamic, progressive and financially sound local government, with responsibility for $3.5 billion worth of assets and employing almost 1200 dedicated staff in a vibrant, rapidly growing region where sugar, mining, beef, tourism and retail drive the economy.
