About the role
Due to internal promotion, we now have an opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Principal Landscape Architect to manage and provide leadership for our Landscape Architecture team. This role involves guiding the team through various projects, offering landscape planning and design expertise, and ensuring successful project execution within the City.
In this role, you will undertake duties such as:
· Oversee and monitor the Landscape Architecture teams key projects.
· Prepare and review landscape planning concepts for City projects.
· Develop project timelines and cost estimates.
· Present project outlines in public forums, including drawings, site analysis, and concepts.
· Create detailed landscape design drawings and project specifications.
· Prepare tender documentation and manage contracts.
· Oversee and monitor project budgets.
· Provide landscape advice to Elected Members, Executive Team, staff, and the community.
· Deliver creative and innovative landscape design solutions.
What we’re looking for:
· A Registered Landscape Architect (or eligible for registration with Australian Institute of Landscape Architects AILA)
· Extensive experience in landscape and urban design planning
· Demonstrated experience with complex projects
· Ability to use sound conceptual and analytical skills to navigate challenges and influence stakeholders
· Proven team leadership capabilities to work with a high-performing team
