This is a 12 Month Fixed Term opportunity.We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.Reporting to the Digital Work Management DWM Project Manager, you will effectively engage stakeholders with an emphasis on managing sub-contractors Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in software development to achieve the required outcomes within the defined scope, cost, schedule and quality constraints while also managing risk and opportunity.Key responsibilities include:Foster a positive collaborative culture between the key project stakeholders and the project team including the customer, end users, functions, sub-contractors and suppliers.Ensure all project requirements and/or objectives are properly documented in a business case and/or project brief, as appropriate and vigorously pursued.Delivery of works following Project Management policies and processes in line with BAE Systems Australia's Operational Framework.Delivery of products and services in accordance with the Product Safety Policy.Track and report progress and forecast final targets for cost and schedule.Document and track changes in project parameters, obstacles and delays and implement appropriate mitigations.Manage project resources to meet current and future needs.Provide input to formal reporting to the DWM Program Manager on project status and any issues.About YOUSpecific project management qualifications are not mandatory but vocational/trade or higher education qualifications in project management and/or allied disciplines are highly desirable.Experience in or with a software development project is well regarded.Demonstrated experience in a project or business management role.Demonstrated experience delivering outcomes for straightforward projects.Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and management skills.Participated in contract development or management.Experience coordinating cross-functional teams.Experience managing sub-contractors, consultants and other suppliers.Experience managing on-shore and off-shore sub-contractors is well regarded.Ability to use and adapt written and verbal communication skills to suit a variety of different audiences is critical to this role.Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain.We believe in hiring for potential; we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
