HAYS Human Resources are currently partnered with one of Australia’s largest and fastest-growing Transport & Logistics companies who provide integrated logistics solutions and specialise in import and export supply chain services.
There is now an exciting opportunity to join their HR team in a fixed-term, 12-month contract position (potential for permanency for the right candidate).
Position Overview | HR Advisor or HRBP
This is a generalist HR role with focus on ER/IR.
* Proactively contribute to the People & Culture initiatives, delivering quality general HR, ER & IR support to the VIC sites.
* Manage various employee relations and industrial relations issues such as misconduct, performance, conflict resolution, workplace investigations.
* Collaborate closely with Victorian leaders (Site/Department/Supervisor/Team Managers) to offer strategic and practical advice that enables operational delivery.
* Maintain strong external relationships with Union and advocacy groups, external service providers, Industry Associations, Regulators etc.
* Onboard new starters within Victoria.
* Support developmental initiatives including training and career development programs.
Experience Required
* 4+ years local Australian experience in a HR Advisory or HRBP role (Australian Citizenship or PR is essential)
* Demonstrated working history in blue-collar, industrialised, or unionised environment
* Experience with complex work investigations (end-to-end)
* Strong industrial award interpretation knowledge, including relevant legislation
* Experience and willingness to work in a high-volume, fast-moving environment
* Excellent communication and ability to collaborate with internal/external stakeholders (Unions, Industry Associations etc).
* Ability to be hands-on, and provide clear and direct advice
* Strong organisational skills, with ability to prioritise and triage tasks
* Ability to work full-time, on-site
Candidates who do not meet a significant amount of the above criteria will not be considered for this role
* Full-time role with ability for 0.8 FTE if desired (pro-rata)
