We are seeking an experienced, qualified Industrial Electrician with a QLD Electrical A Grade License to join our Maintenance Team. You will work together with our existing electricians to help maintain our world-class chicken Hatchery located in Allora, between Warwick and Toowoomba. About us: Darwalla is a family-owned company who has been growing poultry in QLD for almost 90 years. Commissioned in February 2018, our hatchery comprises specialty hatchery equipment, robotic automation, and a multitude of other equipment to hatch & dispatch over 1 million fluffy chicks every week. About the role: In this permanent full-time role, you will be working alongside our maintenance electricians to undertake the preventative and unscheduled maintenance of the entire facility. The role requires early starts (5am), working 5 days per week across 7 week days, for a minimum of 38 hours per week. Overtime and call-outs may be required. Our chickens are a precious commodity, and all employees are restricted from keeping any birds, poultry, or pigs at their premises. You will be required to shower-in and shower-out of our facility each day. Tools, equipment, and uniforms are provided. You will work closely with the Hatchery Team to keep things working, so you'll be able to work under pressure but also be able to have a laugh. We use MEX as our maintenance software, but as long as you have basic computer skills, we can teach you the rest, as some admin will be required. About you: You need to be an experienced Industrial Electrician who holds a QLD Electrical A Grade License. Be able to have fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Previous experience with industrial systems such as water pumps, reverse osmosis water systems, HVAC, boilers, chillers, generators, automation/robotics, conveyors. Be hands-on and hardworking with attention to detail. Be willing to learn specialist Hatchery equipment. Meet our bio-security requirements (details attached).
