We pride ourselves as a workplace that takes responsibility and accountability for the care and protection of peers, the business, the communities in which we operate, and the environment.The position of Fleet Scheduler is responsible for the communication and implementation of a Fleet Maintenance Plan to meet the TMP and Corrective Maintenance requirements for Downer's passenger fleets. This position is responsible for the efficient and effective use of resources to ensure the maintenance activities result in minimum downtime and maximum productivity whilst ensuring compliance with the regulatory safety standards.Responsibilities include collating information regarding all customers' requirements (Train Operations), depot resources (people and materials), and depot infrastructure to produce daily and short-term plans for shift-by-shift production workloads.Ideally, you will have the following experience:Proven work scheduling and planning experience in a heavy asset engineering environment with working knowledge of fleet maintenance requirements in a rail environment (preferred)Proven experience managing multiple priorities or projects simultaneously and delivering to agreed completion datesSignificant operational administration experience within a production or maintenance environmentKnowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, resource planning, and techniques for maximizing outputKnowledge of Quality Assurance ProceduresDemonstrated planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify issues and develop solutionsHigh-level communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skillsProven ability to work under strict deadlines and in challenging environmentsHigh-level computer skills including significant experience with Microsoft OfficeAbility to work under pressure, prioritize, and meet deadlinesAbility to work in a team and autonomously when requiredWhat we offer:The opportunity to work within an energetic, highly skilled teamA workplace that focuses on Zero Harm, making safety a core part of everything we doPermanent full-time position with excellent career progression opportunitiesInitially Mon – Fri 9-5 approx.
