Role OverviewOur network of regional workshops supports our clients to maximise the efficiency, productivity and safety of their operations.The success of our operations is founded on a team-based approach to projects, and you will have the opportunity to work together with and support a range of qualified tradespeople to be successful on all projects.ResponsibilitiesAs a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for carrying out installations, maintenance, and repairs on a range of mechanical equipment including pumps, gear boxes, crushers, grinding mills, feeders, conveyors, and other fixed plant generally found in the mining industry.Conduct site visits as and when required to gather relevant background information, inspection, and discuss technical and operating issues with client's personnel.You will also drive the maintenance of a safe and healthy workplace and ensure that all work is in accordance with industry best practices.Skills and ExperienceTrade Certificate as a Fixed Plant FitterAt least 2 years experience in heavy industry with a background in mining preferredAble to read mechanical and structural drawingsExtensive construction, repair, and maintenance experiencePractical communication, leadership, and team-building abilitiesRelevant computer literacyAbility to work in remote locationsCurrent WA drivers' license.
