Description Senior Investigator, Group Investigations - 57046 Permanent Full time Sydney or Melbourne based Hybrid working model - 3 days in office and 2 WFH How will I help? As a Senior Investigator within Group Investigations (GI), you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations into serious misconduct and Whistleblower disclosures in line with GI’s Standard Operating Procedures and procedural fairness requirements. Some responsibilities include: Conducting investigations into sensitive/high-risk misconduct by employees across the Westpac Group, including concerns arising from whistleblower disclosures. Collecting data necessary to investigate complex misconduct Ensuring accurate recording of the investigation plan, HR consultation process, and evidence collation in Case Management Systems. Ensuring that all Quality Assurance and Governance requirements are met with minimum data errors Consulting with stakeholders across the Group and fostering a collaborative work environment focused on achieving common service goals Maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality regarding all sensitive investigation data What’s in it for me? What do I need? 5 years’ experience in an Investigations field Demonstrated investigative experience, interview skills and techniques gained in either Law Enforcement, Regulatory investigations role, Human Resources, Legal and/or the relevant Financial Services Industry. Demonstrated experience leading and managing investigations i.e. workplace investigations (Serious misconduct); financial crime (AML/ABC/FCT). Demonstrated experience in the conduct of investigations into Whistleblower disclosures ideal Demonstrated experience gathering evidence and preparing reports for compliance and risk assessment and/or preparing briefs of evidence, preparing witness statements, statutory declarations and affidavits Sound knowledge of Banking Procedures, Westpac Group’s Code of Conduct, Operational Risk and Compliance Frameworks. Experience with Operational Risk and Compliance frameworks externally to Westpac will also be considered. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, liaising with all levels of the Business. Demonstrated analytical skill sets with exposure to Microsoft Suite applications and case management systems, Analyst Notebook, etc. Strong knowledge of Evidence Act, Whistleblowing legislation, Anti- Discrimination legislation. Strong prioritisation, planning and organisation skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills What’s it like to work there?
