The Role
This is an excellentchance to join our Childcare Cook Casual Pool, you will oversee kitchen operations when the regular service Cook is on leave.Becoming key part of the team to nurture a love of food in children aged 0-5 years old as you prepare their meals from scratch.
Duties include:
1. Managing the kitchen
2. Ordering of stock (from preferred suppliers of fruit, vegetables and groceries)
3. Planning and preparing all nutritious menus from scratch
4. Assisting in small group experiences with the children and introducing them to the wonderful world of cooking
5. Ensuring health and safety are always maintained at a very high standard
To be considered for this role, it is essential you:
6. Have work rights that enable you to work in Australia
7. Hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) OR hold food safety and food handling qualifications
8. Hold or be willing to obtain Employee Working with Children Check
9. A passion for cooking healthy and nutritious meals
