About the Role
Student placements provide the opportunity in a professional workplace to apply the theory and skills gained while studying. Yooralla is committed to supporting practice placements for the development of an experienced and qualified disability sector workforce.
Within a supervised learning environment you will gain experience in providing assistance with all aspects of daily living. This may see you providing support with meals, personal care, hoisting, assistance with everyday household tasks and meaningful engagement within the home and community environments.
About You
If you are passionate about supporting customers to manage their own lifestyles and live the life they choose then we encourage you to apply to complete your student placement with Yooralla. You will be completing a certificate IV in disability through a recognised RTO or university and be interested in ongoing employment opportunities following the successful completion of your placement.
In addition to this you will have:

Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity you must attach the below mandatory requirements with your application:
* Completed online application
* A placement agreement signed by the relevant parties
* An NDIS worker screening check
* Current Certificate for First Aid (HLTAID003) & Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID001)
* Evidence of your ability to work in Australia following your placement (Australian Passport/Australian Birth Certificate/ Australian Citizenship Certificate or International Passport & Visa)
* A copy of your Working with Children Check (WWCC) (If Relevant)
* A current Australian driver’s licence
* If you have lived or worked overseas in the last ten years for a period of 12 months or more, we require a certified copy of your International Police Check, or evidence of applying for an international police check. The Police Check must cover the entire period you were overseas.
