Due to growth in our Purchasing team, we are looking for an experienced Purchasing Officer to join our team. About You We are seeking a highly skilled Purchaser with category analysis experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide invaluable support to the Purchasing Team, Supply Chain Leader, and company Leadership. Your responsibilities will include managing purchasing and quoting processes, conducting comprehensive data analysis from internal and external sources, and preparing and evaluating documentation and spreadsheets. You will be instrumental in sharing insights and recommendations to drive optimal total value for the business. Responsibilities Support Category strategy development and sourcing through data analytics, industry research, and scenario analysis to inform decision-making Manage Material and Service Pricing, including price reviews, system changes, and contract administration Track and communicate key supplier performance metrics, focusing on driving process simplification through continuous improvement initiatives Experienced in managing purchasing and quoting functions and adaptable to processes Apply knowledge of electronic parts and components to effectively support purchasing decisions Ensure cost-effectiveness, reliability and on-time delivery of materials to meet customer satisfaction standards Guarantee materials are available for production as required, with a focus on planning and timeliness Control and expedite all orders to align with production schedules, ensuring timely delivery Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 3 + years’ relevant experience with demonstrated expertise in purchasing or category analysis Strong knowledge and experience with electronic components, with a focus on industry standards and applications Proficiency in planning and scheduling to ensure seamless production and timely material availability Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy process and analysis Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a solid grasp on grammar and punctuation Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to analyse data and generate insights Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint Excellent project management and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines effectively Self-motivated and proactive with a strong ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks and projects from start to finish Enthusiastic about staying up to date on industry and market advancements Why Join Circuitwise?
