This part-time position (3 days a week) is based at our state-of-the-art facility in Carole Park and reports directly to our Head of Finance. In this role, you will ensure accurate and timely end-to-end payroll processing, participate in payroll improvement projects and support supplier payment processing. Additionally, you will provide essential support to our team by offering professional and precise guidance on all pay-related matters.Responsibilities include:Manage and process the fortnightly & monthly payroll.Process leave calculations.Support with termination payments as required.Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of employee payroll information.Prepare and deliver pay slips and annual payment summaries.Participate in audits and provide necessary payroll documentation as required.Preparation and payment of all tax obligations including payroll tax and Superannuation Guarantee contributions.Process payroll journals in the Finance System and reconciling certain payroll General Ledger Accounts.Assist in processing purchase orders, invoices, payment runs, and supplier reconciliations.Assist employees with timesheets, expenses, purchase orders / suppliers.Contribute to team projects.The PersonThe pace of change, growth and progress at Hypersonix can be at hypersonic pace! To succeed on our team, you must be open and receptive to change, have a ‘can-do’ attitude, be adaptable to shifting priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment.To be successful in this role you will also need:Previous payroll experience, ideally 3 + years.Sound knowledge of relevant legislations and standards including Australian payroll taxation law.Experience working in a small to medium size organisation.Demonstrated problem analysis and solving abilities.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to meet deadlines, both independently and as part of a close team.Accounts Payable processing experience would be advantageous.Systems experience preferably Xero, Employment Hero, Microsoft D365 Business Central, LightYear.Prior experience in new payroll/ERP system implementation, would be advantageous.Supplementary requirements include:Background checks including Australian National Police clearance check.All candidates must have the right to live and work in Australia on a permanent basis, to be considered for this role.Why Choose Us?Hypersonix moves fast.
