We are looking for a motivated and passionate Casual Commis Chef to join the PLG team at The Club in Caroline Springs. You’ll focus on basic food preparation tasks, support experienced chefs, and maintain a clean and organised kitchen. What will my duties include?
- Prepare and cook menu as per cooking guidelines and set standards. - Support senior chefs and kitchen staff with various tasks, including food assembly and plating. - Ensure food and safety procedures are being followed. - Maintaining control and leadership in the kitchen during service times in allocated section. - Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workstation.
What we are looking for:
- Hold a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) - Food Handlers Certificate. - Experience working in a pub/bistro fast-paced environment. - Understanding of fundamental cooking methods and recipe execution. - Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
