Lead Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer
As a key member of our team, you will conduct field investigations and client interviews to determine work scope and cost estimates for a project's electrical engineering aspects.
This is a part-time position based in Perth, WA, where you will lead the design, development, modification, and evaluation of electrical components and processes. Your recommendations will resolve technical issues and ensure that complex requirements of a project's electrical engineering aspects are met.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and conduct independent electrical work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of electrical engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on a medium-sized project or assignment.
* Lead the design, development, modification, and evaluation of components and processes used in the generation, manipulation, transmission, and storage of electricity.
* Communicate complex technical issues and recommend solutions to upper management.
* Develop conceptual designs for electrical engineering projects or projects having specialized or unique requirements.
* Support preparation of estimates, staffing needs, and schedules.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience, or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.
* Relevant work experience in FEED, proposal & detailed engineering preferably in an EPC/EPCM industry for large industrial plants, power projects, utilities, oil, and gas plants.
* Knowledge of systems, calculations, equipment, applications of methods, materials, and computer applications within the Electrical engineering discipline.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Experience in design, procurement, construction, commissioning, or plant operation in large industrial plants, utilities, or process plants.
* Knowledge of engineering work planning and control methods and of precedents in the Electrical discipline and principles and practices of inter-related disciplines.
