Role Overview:

UnitingSA is looking for an experienced marketing and content professional to bring to life marketing strategies, campaigns and promotional activities.
With a strong focus on content creation, you will produce innovative, engaging and impactful content across multiple platforms, including social media, web and print. Your strong writing skills, creative thinking and love for brand allow you to create captivating content that effectively enhances audience engagement and elevates our visibility and reputation.
This new hands-on role will coordinate the creation of marketing materials, merchandise and media bookings, as well as manage UnitingSA’s social media channels and provide valuable insights into content and campaign performance to optimise future initiatives. You equally enjoy big picture thinking and ideation, as well as getting on the tools producing and executing your ideas.
This is an exciting opportunity to join UnitingSA’s high performing Marketing, Communications and Partnerships team, who have some large projects to deliver over the next 12 months. You’ll be working within a supportive and collaborative team dedicated to applying skills and knowledge in their chosen field for the greatest impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the implementation of the marketing, content, social, eDM and website strategies across a range of channels including web, social, eDM, and print.
* Design, develop and publish high-quality written and visual content, tailored to specific platforms, channels and/or audiences, such as digital newsletters, social media, videos, web news articles, flyers, letters, publications and advertising content.
* Write, review, edit, publish and measure content you create, as well as review that of others, providing support and guidance on best practice.
* Lead the updating and maintenance of the annual content calendar to promote key events and days of recognition.
* Day-to-day management of social media channels, public pages and closed groups, including creating, coordinating and scheduling content.
* Plan, produce and edit engaging static and video content for social media platforms to enhance brand visibility while maintaining alignment with our brands and marketing goals.
* Coordinate event marketing, including merchandise, photoshoots and other promotional activities.
* Manage the production of marketing collateral including brochures, flyers, catalogues, fact sheets, newsletters.
* Undertake research, competitor analysis, trend analysis and measurement.
Skills & Experience
* Considerable demonstrable experience in a similar position in a large organisation.
* Extensive demonstrable skills in content creation across all social media platforms.
* Demonstrated project management experience, including the ability to manage and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
* Proven knowledge of marketing techniques and approaches.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to write and edit for a range of uses both in print and online.
* Excellent interpersonal skills including the proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders including coworkers, agencies and suppliers.
* Strong research, strategic analysis and critical thinking skills that support the delivery of data-driven marketing.
* Strong photo and video editing skills.
* Proficiency in the use of social media platforms.
* Competent skills in Microsoft Office, Campaign Monitor/Mailchimp, Adobe Suite, Canva and video-editing software.
* An understanding of Search Engine Marketing, including SEO and Google Ads.
* Commitment to innovation, continuous improvement and openness to new ideas and growth, including the use of tools and platforms such as Facebook pixel and AI.
