Role Purpose The Project Assurance and Support Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Consortium Director in the effective management and assurance of the Roo-ver Mission. This Mission represents a critical step in Australia's lunar exploration capabilities, and the successful candidate will contribute to its delivery through supporting comprehensive project coordination, financial oversight, commercial and contract management, and effective stakeholder engagement. While this is not a project manager role, project management experience will be useful. Reporting to the Consortium Director - ELO2 Consortium, this full-time role is based at EPE’s Headquarters in Spring Hill, Brisbane, with potential travel to partner locations as required. Key Responsibilities Project Reporting Prepare high-quality progress reports for internal and external stakeholders, including detailed updates for the Commonwealth. Develop and maintain project documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with requirements. Budget and Financial Management Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets, including tracking expenditures and forecasts. Liaise closely with the EPE CFO to ensure reporting, financial oversight and compliance with funding agreements. Commercial and Contract Management Support the Consortium Director with the management of contracts and commercial arrangements, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions, especially regarding contractual reporting and maintenance of accurate records. Assist in negotiations, reviews, and the resolution of any contractual issues. Annual Project Audit Coordinate and facilitate the annual project audit, ensuring all financial and operational records are in order. Other Support Activities Undertake other tasks as required to contribute to the success of the Roo-ver Mission and other projects. Skills and Experience The successful candidate may be currently working as a Consultant in one of the Big 5 accounting firms; or in a Project Coordination role delivering another Commonwealth project; or not! Essential: Strong project coordination experience, preferably within a research or engineering context. Experience in financial management and budget reporting, with the ability to liaise effectively with finance professionals. Familiarity with commercial and contract management, especially compliance. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders. Attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. Desirable: Experience working within collaborative consortia or multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of technology-driven projects.
