About the role The Senior Graphic & Digital Designer will develop digital, graphic, and motion design solutions for BCU and P&N Bank's customers across B2 B and B2 C audience.
Reporting to the Creative Services Manager, this role will design and deliver high-quality creative for various activities across all brand channels and touchpoints.
Responsible for creating and producing inspiring visual concepts and designs that communicate with the target audience, influence behaviour, and drive action.
From campaign ideation and execution, to reviewing creative work, providing the necessary inputs to ensure the respective output is strategically aligned to the brief, well-crafted and meets BCU and P&N's tone and brand standards.
Working within an in-house studio model, the Senior Graphic & Digital Designer will ensure that the brand is successfully translated and represented in innovative and impactful design solutions.
Role Responsibilities Creative and art direction: Responsible for leading the creative and art direction for a range of BCU and P&N Bank brand, marketing and communication projects, campaigns, programs and initiatives.
Creative concepting: Develop, present and manage the roll-out of creative concepts for small and large-size marketing campaigns and initiatives across ATL and BTL channels.
Studio management, coaching & mentoring: Support the Creative Services Manager to run an in-house studio model, assisting with workflow management, quality assurance, and brand management.
Provide coaching and support to the Graphic & Digital Designer to embed key design principles and studio style workflows.
Graphic Design: Creation and development of high-quality creative for a variety of activity across print and digital channels and touchpoints.
Responsible for creating and producing inspiring visual concepts and designs that communicate with the target audience and drive action.
Digital design: Design artwork for digital channels, including e DMs, digital ads, website assets, social media graphics – motion/video skills are required.
Develop mobile-first and responsive web design, where required.
Technical design: Responsible for technical and advanced design projects that require HTML/CSS, motion, animation, and video production.
Strong understanding and usage of UX and UI design principles, ensuring the customer/user is considered throughout the design process.
Leverage knowledge of inclusive design and accessible design to create solutions that are usable, accessible, and appealing to as many people as possible.
Campaigns: Manage all creative aspects of a campaign from ideation to finished art.
Design creative assets for multi-channel marketing campaigns, including landing pages, e DMs, social media graphics, display ads and banners, and website graphics.
Advertising: Design creative assets and ad copy for POS, PR and local area marketing requirements, including OOH, print ads, signage, pull-up banners, flyers, brochures, fact sheets, and more.
Brand Management: Management of the BCU and P&N Brand Guidelines and Digital Asset Management platform.
Ensure all Brand Guidelines and DAM stays up to date and reflective of our brands.
Act as a brand champion to ensure that the brand personality, tone-of-voice and narrative is successfully translated and represented in innovative and impactful design solutions.
Templates and solutions: Develop, manage and grow the range of design solutions and templates that can be utilised by the Brand and Marketing department and wider business to self-serve driving greater efficiencies, empowerment and quality control.
Photography and image curation: Curation and maintenance of photography, imagery, and illustration library and assets.
Support the project management of bespoke photoshoots as well as stock imagery selection, purchasing, and usage.
Brand Compliance and education: Responsible for managing brand compliance ensuring the correct use of logos, templates and other design elements and adherence to brand guidelines.
Ensure adherence and educate internal team members on brand guidelines, design briefs and workflows.
Studio management support: Support the Creative Services Manager to coach and upskill the Graphic Designer and ensure the design workflows are maintained and optimised for the studio team.
What will you Bring A bachelor's degree in design & visual communication, Art & Creative Design, or Creative Industries.
Extensive experience (8+ years) as a Senior Digital & Graphic Designer within a B2 B and B2 C organisation or at an agency.
Experience developing customer/user-centric designs and applying best practice UX/UI principles to all designs.
Experienced working across multiple brand portfolios at any given time, e.g.
in-house agency with various portfolios or in a multi-brand business model.
Advanced skills in various design platforms including Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
Strong skills and knowledge of design systems and basic HTML/CSS.
Strong skills in motion graphic, animation and video production.
Demonstrate expertise across design principles, techniques, and applications.
Solid understanding of graphic design and typesetting principles and digital/print production.
