This large government body is seeking an experienced Administarive Support Officer to provide highly effective and confidential administrative support services to the Governance branch, to enable effective and timely management of its operational needs.
Key activities
* Support the Manager of Enterprise Governance to coordinate and/or prepare program materials, briefing papers, reports and taking minutes for relevant meetings
* Support the development of Enterprise Governance Policy and associated enterprise documents, and coordinate the review, consultation and endorsement.
* Develop and administrate Enterprise Governance actions and tracking for executive compliance reporting
* Provide high level administrative support to the Manager Enterprise Governance, including day to day correspondence, meeting management and administration
* Maintain and/or develop recording and filing systems necessary to monitor and control papers, records and other information for the branch leadership.
* Manage the diaries of the Manager and work with key stakeholders to support the Enterprise Governance Programs including scheduling and coordinating appointments and meetings, prioritising time and promptly advising of any changes/additions
* Arrange and coordinate branch workshops and functions, including catering, venue and equipment as well as coordinate bookings for travel/accommodation where required
* Display enthusiasm and initiative with a high achievement drive and self-direction and work collaboratively with other employees to ensure that systems and processes work effectively
* Contribute positively to team cohesion, productivity and culture, including supporting the branch with on-boarding of new staff
* Build and maintain a constructive working relationship with the Executive Assistants, Personal Assistants and administrative supports within the organization.
Experience & Knowledge
* Strong background and experience in senior administrative support roles
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively with limited supervision, to exercise initiative, to set priorities and to work within required timelines
* Ability to liaise and communicate easily with a range of stakeholders
* Editing and proofreading skills
* Previous experience working in government sector highly regarded
