Our Client ARKLE FARMS (OPERATIONS) PTY LTD ABN – 64 631 009 482 – Located in Munglinup, WA is seeking a Full-time Truck Driver position for between $75,000 - $80,000 a year.
Arkle Farms is major farming enterprise based in Western Australia and owned by the Cowan family. It operates a mixed farming enterprise, comprising broadacre cropping, an Angus stud and a commercial sheep flock, across four farms - Bedford Harbour (to the west of Esperance), Varley Farms (at Lake Varley), Coronet Hill (to the east of Esperance) and Gregmaun (near Lake King). The Group manages 36,600 arable hectares. The Cowan family’s philosophy is to build a highly sustainable and productive farming enterprise applying regenerative farming techniques appropriate to the properties it manages. While the near-term focus is on broadacre cropping and large-scale, non-intensive livestock farming, Arkle will seek to further optimise its operations and broaden its revenue base by expanding its existing agricultural activities, including the potential to improve the efficiency of its land use by introducing tree crops and horticultural crops
Duties will include:
•Manoeuvring vehicles into position for loading and unloading
•Loading and unloading vehicles using lifting and tipping devices
•Observing safety requirements when loading and unloading vehicles
•Making regular quality checks of vehicles to ensure they can be driven safely
•Estimating weights to comply with load limitations and ensuring safe distribution of weight
•Ensuring goods are stowed and securely covered to prevent loss and damage
•Verifying loading documents, checking condition of goods and obtaining certification of deliveries
It is essential you possess the following:
•Hands on and show of commitment
•Successful completion of relevant AQF Cert II or equivalent AND at least 1 year (20+hpw) relevant experience
•Proven post-qualification experience in a similar role or ability to adapt and display skills required
•Proven ability and willingness to work as part of a team
•Ability to work autonomously, without supervision
