We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel Service Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will go that extra mile to provide a memorable guest experience, who is energetic and passionate about providing great service to our guests and ensuring all guest areas are presented to the highest standard. This position oversees the attending to our facilities with integrity and attention to detail.
The goal is to create a clean and orderly environment for our guests that will become a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening our reputation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise the day-to-day management of a team of housekeeping attendants, including recruiting and rostering
* Allocating duties to housekeeping, luggage porters and doorpersons
* Conduct daily inspection of rooms to ensure that cleaning and maintenance standards have been met
* Providing training to new room attendants, and ongoing training to all members of housekeeping team
* Ensure that productivity is achieved on a daily basis and rooms are ready to be checked in promptly
* Conferring with Managers to coordinate activities with other departments of the hotel
* Ensure that guest requests and other special cleaning requirements are met.
* Ensure superior housekeeping standards in all customer areas including the back of house spaces
* Report all maintenance and repair requirements and missing items
* Ensure storerooms and trolleys are kept neat, stocked and tidy with equipment in good working order
* Follow lost property and guest laundry procedure
* Handle chemicals, and equipment with care and according to Health and Safety standards and guidelines
* Suggesting and implementing improvements and changes to the work of the unit
* Supporting or covering Front Office with reception duties, especially Night Audit
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong leadership and team-building skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Proficient in hotel management software and reservation systems.
* Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
