Job Scope:
A Team Leader supervises teams of technical or other employees. Responsibilities typically include setting day-to-day operational objectives for the team. Problems faced may be difficult but typically are not complex. Ensures policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers, and other stakeholders.
Your responsibilities:
* Planned, organized, and administered planned and unplanned service activities. Effectively coordinate sometimes changing priorities with high autonomy and sound judgment.
* Consult with Planning roles regarding assignment of Service Technicians to complete Predictive (PdM) and Preventative (PvM) tasks
* Review task schedule with Planner to identify issues relating to tasks;
* Pre-shut preparation, parts availability, tools, equipment, trade skills
* Interactions/overlap (physical proximity, conflicts)
* Resource priority (eg. Cranes, forklifts, VA, Huck bolt Machine)
* Completion of correct work documentation, inspection, and other reports pertinent to customer specifications.
* Review/edit PdM condition information; review customer reports and ensure quality is of a high standard before presentation to the customer.
* When assigned to another FLSmidth Supervisors’ site – take a backup and support role as well as hands-on as required.
* Monitor and guide the execution of site maintenance daily tasks ensuring efficient and effective use of time management and prioritization.
* Review component history
* Identify wearout and other failure trends
* Engage with engineering to develop improved maintenance tactics
* Revise Pv and Pd maintenance tasks.
* Supervise the site and workshop activities of the Mechanical and Screen Service teams to ensure productive outcomes, and ensuring optimum utilization.
* Actively assist in the selection process to ensure qualified applicants are selected who will contribute well to overall team performance. Create a high level of team spirit and engagement by creating an open and trusting environment where teamwork and cooperation are valued and encouraged.
What you bring:
* Essential – skills and experience in a similar role as a Service Supervisor
* Experience in organizing and delivering a variety of Service activities in the mining industry
* Trade Qualified; fitter, mechanical
* Previous experience supervising a site service team within the mining sector
* CHPP Shut-Down experience
* Relevant Coal Mine inductions and valid competencies (not essential, can be provided)
* Current State Manual Driver’s License.
* Be prepared to be based locally in Beresford, WA
