This role is key to the smooth operation of the sales function and requires exceptional relationship building skills to work efficiently and effectively with all stakeholders.Your Duties and Responsibilities Sales Administration Manage the appearance of the service desk and provide a warm and welcoming face-face experience for customers and visitorsAnswer customer enquiries and take orders in person, over the phone and via emailPursue leads of agreed target markets through cold calling utilising agreed qualifying questionsEnsure customer queries are responded to accurately with product recommendations based on specifications, availability and delivery timelinesMaintain customer relations and update on new product offeringsReceive, review and confirm customer orders in a timely mannerReview and interpret customer drawings identifying their key product requirementsPrepare and present finalised quotations to customers and proactively seek feedback and discussionIdentify customers that require ongoing account management and forward to Sales ManagerCoordinate order pick-up and delivery by tracking orders online – maintain strong communication throughoutEscalate any customer complaints to the Sales ManagerProvide proactive support to the sales and business development teamInput and maintain accurate and detailed records on jobs in the CRM Maintain a record of customer interactionsLiaise with supplier base to verify stock availability, lead times and current pricing and provide them with order forms, following up on delivery timesProcess payments – manage cash, credit and electronic payment systemsInternal Liaison and Reporting Attend bi-weekly sales meetings and provide status reports as requiredCollate sales and marketing data for the preparation of monthly reportsPrepare regular reports on trends in product use and feedbackProvide insight and knowledge on account order history and experienceLiaise with the Accounts Department, Product Manager and Logistics Manager to facilitate smooth operational outcomes.About You You will be a proficient, friendly and positive customer service and sales administration professional with experience working with clients face-face, via the phone and email.Along with your outgoing personality, you will have the ability to build excellent relationships with customers and internal team-members alike.
