What you'll be doing
Functioning as a Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 in the area of palliative care within Northern Sydney Home Nursing Service (NSHNS), providing and promoting evidence based nursing practice, relating to palliative care in home settings. Providing leadership and facilitating the ongoing development of nursing and allied health clinicians.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria :
1. Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Nurse Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification or such other qualifications or relevant equivalent experience.
2. Substantial and current experience in palliative care, using advance clinical skills in patient assessment and care planning.
3. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, carers, and a diverse range of health care providers including those in government, non-government, residential aged care and community organisations.
